Sylvie D'Aoust
The woman that inspired this blog. Man she's hot. I saw her photo in Metro. There are a lot of hot people in Ottawa, but she must be tops.
Hence the blog. Here's a bio from Cyclefit
Sylvie is the founder, owner and manager of CycleFit, Ottawa's only SPINNING studio. She strongly believes that fitness is a way of life that can be for everyone. She has a beautiful daughter named Tamsyn and is a great example of an active, ambitious and goal-oriented Mommy!
She enjoys Adventure Racing, Road Cycling and all the sports in between. Come and enjoy her addictive energy!
Sylvie has made it her mandate to provide avenues for women to be introduced to cycling, whether it is for sport or reacreational purposes. "We need more women to feel comfortable on the bike and gain the confidence through skills clinics to be successful and comfortable competing in their first road race".
2005: Sylvie brought together 7 local CYCLIST new to the sport of road racing to form Ottawa's first women's only cycling team.
2006: Sylvie formed another team of four new riders to the sport of cycling.
2007: Was the summer Sylvie focused on her own cycling performance and gaining more experience in the sport of road racing. She also completed her Level 1 road cycling certification and is currently working on her Level 2 certification.
2008 brought further development to the world of women's cycling, such as the creation of the CycleFit CHICKS Cycling Club, more road skills and race clinics, and a women's only road race in the area. It's so important to build up the sport of women's cycling, and through the club, we will be able to make that happen.
